Admissions Policies

Admissions Criteria

PCC Preschool welcomes children who:

  • Are at least 2 years old by September 1st of the enrollment year (exceptions may be made for children who narrowly miss the cutoff).

  • Are potty trained or in the process of potty training.

  • Are ready to participate in group experiences

Admission decisions are at the discretion of the Preschool Director. Parents must inform the staff of any medical, social-emotional, or learning conditions that may affect their child's health, behavior, or learning.

Children with special needs are accepted if the Director determines that the school can meet their needs within the program's structure. Only ambulatory children are admitted, as access to the playground involves stairs.

PCC Preschool admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Enrollment Process

  1. Pre-Enrollment Appointment: Before the first day of school, each new family will participate in a Pre-Enrollment Appointment to review forms and policies, answer questions, and confirm the child's readiness for school.

  2. Submission of Forms: All required school and state forms must be completed and returned before the child may attend school.

Our academic curriculum flows directly from our educational philosophy. We offer a rich, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters early literacy, math readiness, social-emotional development, and spiritual growth—all through hands-on learning and play.

Academic Approach

Our academic curriculum flows directly from our educational philosophy. We offer a rich, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters early literacy, math readiness, social-emotional development, and spiritual growth—all through hands-on learning and play.

Classroom Experience

Our teachers provide a balance of free choice, small group, large group, and outdoor playtimes in all our classes. Children experience a variety of hands-on activities that encourage learning through play as well as structured activities led by the teachers.

While in our care, we strive to keep each child physically and emotionally safe. Close supervision is one of our staff's highest priorities. The teachers' nurturing qualities create the safety needed for children to be free to explore, play, and learn.

Our staff is committed to ensuring each child engages in age-appropriate, hands-on activities that help them move forward in their development. We aim to develop the whole child and to provide opportunities for each one to grow to their full potential in emotional, social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual areas. Our mission is to prepare each child to enter Kindergarten with the confidence and skills needed to excel.
