What my child will learn

The focus of our 3-year-old program is to help children learn to separate from their parents and to grow comfortable in a school setting.  In the safe relationships with the teachers, the children feel free to explore the many activities set out in our 3 spacious classrooms. Children are exposed to basic cognitive skills and introduced to several of the "Handwriting Without Tears" materials.  An emphasis is placed on communication skills encouraging children to use words to ask for what they want and need.  The activities and materials offered to the children change each week keeping children interested and engaged. The format of each school day includes free choice, large group circle time, small group time and outside play on our park-like playground.

Our teachers put an intentional emphasis on exposing children to letters, numbers, name writing, as well as communication, and self help skills.  The Pre-K program follows the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum for handwriting skills and letter recognition.
