What my child will learn
The focus of our 3-year-old program is to help children learn to separate from their parents and to grow comfortable in a school setting. In the safe relationships with the teachers, the children feel free to explore the many activities set out in our three spacious classrooms. Children are exposed to basic cognitive skills and introduced to several of the "Handwriting Without Tears" materials. An emphasis is placed on communication skills, encouraging children to use words to share their thoughts and ask for what they want and need. The activities and materials offered to the children change each week, keeping children interested and engaged. The format of each school day includes free choice, large group circle time, small group time, and outside play in our beautiful play yard.

WHAT MY child WILL LEARN:
The focus of our 4-year-old and young-5’s class is to expose children to the skills and experiences they need to be ready for Kindergarten. The format of the Pre-K/TK day includes the elements of free choice, large group “Circle Time”, small groups, and outside play. Our teachers put an intentional emphasis on exposing children to letters, numbers, name writing, as well as communication and self-help skills. The Pre-K program follows the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum for handwriting skills and letter recognition.
Children in our “TK” small group will be exposed to the next level of our handwriting program as well as engage in group projects and delve deeper into literacy and math concepts.
Student-to-Teacher Ratio: 1:8 (TK 1:9)
Enrolling 33 children with 4 teachers

Dramatic play is also included. In addition, we provide opportunities for spiritual development. Children will be exposed to simple Bible stories, songs, and truths about God’s love and kindness. Every week the activities in each room are changed providing a rich and engaging learning environment that continually holds children's interest.
